How Itinerari in Italia were born

Itinerari in Italia was born as a platform that provides web support to the thesis project entitled: “Territory, Environment and Augmented Reality” by Dr. Nicola Festino, graduate in Territorial Information Systems at the IUAV University in Venice.

This project aims to apply Augmented Reality technology to the territory in favour of boosting tourism and culture.

Augmented reality is in fact the innovation that will change our lives.

This platform allows you to collect all the information, descriptions, photos, itineraries, articles, etc.  related to Italian monuments and panoramas posted by those who love the land in which they live and can thus share their culture and passion by transmitting it to all the people who choose to visit it, it is in practice it is the social tourist, where you can share the tourist experiences and your knowledge of the monuments among users.

How can I access all this information?

You can access this information using our App – Tourist Guide, for now only for Android smartphones thanks to the brand new Augmented Reality technology.
